Aron closed the door softly, after Danny left. He didn’t even had the chance for a last kiss, because Danny was rushing out. He leaned against the door and slid slowly to the floor, until he was sitting in it. He stood there in silence, thinking about Danny, about last night, and about that brand new feeling that was unleashed, and that flooded his heart everytime he tasted Danny’s lips, everytime he felt Danny’s touch, everytime he breathed Danny’s scent or everytime he looked at Danny’s eyes.

Danny was driving. It wasn’t raining, but the sky was still cloudy. The sun that woke him up was hidden, and the streets were still filled with that smell of rain and wet dirt. He sighed, regretting of rushing out and not giving Aron a last kiss, has he knew Aron was expecting. He thought about turning around and going back a thousand times, but then he felt shy about it and thought he would look ridiculous…

While they were rehearsaling, Danny couldn’t focus on what they were doing. When it was his turn to sing he wasn’t paying attention, and sometimes he sang the wrong lyrics.

“Whats wrong dude?” Jorel asked, looking at him.
“Yea, you look distracted… And you can’t sing the higher notes! What’s happening?” Jordan asked too. Danny knew the answer for the problem with the highter notes.
“Last time I stood in the rain for too long…” He said, feeling his throat scratching and hurting a little when he tried to sing.
“Why?” Jordan continued with the questions, getting more and more confused.
“I was outside the door looking for the keys and I couldn’t find them…” Danny lied distractedly. He tried to focus, but he couldn’t stop thinking about Aron. He found himself thinking about him so many times. Why? He didn’t understand, and it kept him thinking even more about it.

“Listen” Jorel talked quietly to Danny, while the other guys were taking a break. “I know about your wife and you, and if you need a while to think, you can just ask for it.” He said. Danny looked at him, feeling a warm pain in the bottom of his heart. “Just… focus, for today, and then you can just take a break from all this.”
Danny sighed, but managed to smile a little. He nodded and got up, picking up the mic.
They practiced for 3 more hours, and then they decided that it was enough for that day. Most of them had a terrible hangover and weren’t getting any profit from it anyway. Danny grabbed his jacket, said goodbye to the rest of the guys and left.
He got in his car and started driving. Again, his mind drifted away under the sound of the first raindrops falling in his window.
All that happened with Aron… Danny tried not to even think about it, but he knew those questions would come back to haunt him. Why? Danny had an answer floating around in his mind, but he didn’t dare to say it. He had always had a feeling towards Aron. A warm, fuzzy feeling that poured butterflies in his stomach everytime he saw Aron, or heard Aron. Danny asked himself about that feeling sometimes. He always saw Aron as a big friend, a person who he trusted. But after what happened, Danny wasn’t sure about anything anymore.

What Aron did to him… What…they did together…

It felt so good.

Danny shook his head slightly and drove faster. He didn’t understand why it felt so good.

So he wasn’t gonna ask himself about it any longer.
And with this, he turned around, and drove to Aron’s house.

It was around 2 a.m., and Danny was half asleep, sitting in the couch. He could hear some movie playing in the TV. Under his hand, Aron’s head was laying in his legs. Danny rubbed his thumb in the other guy’s hair slowly. Danny kept his eyes closed, and smiled faintly. He slid his hand down to Aron’s cheek, and then to his neck. His skin was so warm, in contact with Danny’s cold hand. Danny opened his heavy eyes and looked down at Aron, who was sleeping curled up in the couch. Danny shivered a little. It was cold in there, and yet Aron seemed so warm.
Danny leaned down to him slowly, and kissed his cheek softly. Aron’s eyes fluttered open, waking up under the touch of Danny’s lips.
The sound of the rain got heavier and louder, while Aron took Danny’s hand and intertwined their fingers together. Danny smiled and chuckled; Aron was so adorable…
Aron looked up at Danny, smiling.

“What are you laughing at?” His voice erased all the other sounds from Danny’s mind, for a second.
God, he felt like kissing him. Every, single, second.
“It’s just… you.” Danny answered, caressing Aron’s hand with his thumb. Aron smiled wider, and it seemed like he was going to say something, but then a white light filled the room, coming from the window.
The two guys looked at the window quickly, surprised. A second later, a thunder exploded in the sky, over them.
“It’s a thunderstorm…” Aron said, getting up and letting Danny’s hand go, to walk to the window. He pulled the courtains to the side and looked outside, to the sky, for a second.
Danny got up too, looking around.
“Do you think there’s gonna be a…“ But he didn’t finish his sentence, when suddenly all the lights went out, and the room was immersed in the dark.

“…blackout.” Danny finished, in a sigh.

He couldn’t see a thing. Some seconds later, he saw the light from Aron’s cellphone screen. He walked to it carefuly, trying not to trip in anything. When he got there, Aron reached out for Danny in the dark. His hand landed on Danny’s chest, and he slid it down and grasped his hand firmly.
“I got some flashlights… But they’re in the garage.” Aron said quietly.
“Can we make it there with the lights from our cellphones?” Danny asked, holding back Aron’s hand. But, has if fate was playing with them, Aron’s cellphone buzzed in his hand, and the light disappeared.

“Shit, my battery died…” Aron said, frustrated. Danny was getting a little tensed up; he wasn’t very comfortable in the dark. He wasn’t scared, he just… didn’t feel very comfortable. Plus, he left his own cellphone back in the couch.
“What now.” Danny asked nervously, holding Aron’s hand tighter.
“Are you ok…?” Aron asked. Danny sighed.
“I don’t really like the dark.” He let out. He felt Aron’s other hand in his neck, slowly pulling his head closer to his. In the dark, he felt Aron’s warm breathing in his lips. Danny shivered; Aron was right in front of him, though he couldn’t see him.
“Do you trust me?” Aron asked, his lips touching Danny’s gently has he spoke. Danny blushed.
“Yes.”
Aron seemed to hesitate.
“Do you think you could wait a little while I went to grab the flashlights…? I think I know the way and-”

“No!” Danny’s spoke louder than usual, squeezing Aron’s hand and pushing forward quickly, making his lips press against Aron’s strongly. He blushed deeper.
A second later, he felt Aron smile a little.
“I’m not going anywhere, don’t worry!...” He paused for a bit, feeling the heat radiating from Danny, for he was blushing so much. He chuckled. “You know, I can actually feel the heat of your blushing.” He continued, his lips rubbing against Danny’s in every word. Danny leaned his head down, moving his lips away from Aron’s, and then turned his head. Aron sighed, but he forgot they were in complete silence.

Danny felt bad. He moved his head up again and rubbed his nose in Aron’s sadly.
“I’m sorry…” He said, in a hurtful voice. Aron chuckled sofly.
“Don’t be silly, Danny. You don’t need to apologize.” He spoke, talking softer and softer, until his voice was just a whisper. He leaned against the wall and slid down, until he was sitting in the floor, pulling Danny along. Danny sat in the floor next to him.

“Are you mad at me…?” Danny whispered, some moments later.
“Of course not! Don’t be silly.” Aron answered, in a whisper, a second after. Danny didn’t feel very convinced.
“Well, are you sad?” Danny continued. He felt for backing out on Aron’s kiss. He didn’t understand why he did it. All he wanted was contact with Aron.
But then again, he didn’t understand why he wanted. And maybe that made him back out…
“Danny, come here.” Aron said, reaching his arms around Danny and pulling him. Blushing, Danny got on his kneels and spinned around, sitting in Aron’s lap.
“Just close your eyes” Aron said, laying Danny’s head in his shoulder. “And clear your mind from all those questions for some seconds.”

Danny’s eyes widened.
“How do you know about that?” He asked, surprised. Aron smirked.
“Actualy I didn’t. But now I know you question yourself.” He said. The room fell in silence, and Aron could feel Danny’s soft breathing in his neck. When the pace got slower, he knew Danny fell asleep.

And in the dark, Aron blushed, and smiled wide. Danny had questions in his mind... Could they be about him? About what happened?

Could he be questioning his feelings?

Aron felt a spark in his heart. And that spark was enough to give him hope. Hope that maybe, everything would work out.
